I have read this book within 24 hours, on the road and at every opportunity I could get at work. I got hooked especially from the Priceless Gift chapters, only to realize that I am on page 114 in no time. I didn’t want the book to end. I kept writing notes and pausing to think.

I have many favorite parts of the book:

My first is Francis’ wife. Her calmness, especially after such unexpected heavy news, was very captivating and inspiring. When Francis said they both realized that they were at peace despite the life-changing news, I had questions. What’s the foundation for such calmness in the face of such news? But these questions were sufficiently answered as I read on.

France’s story is one of my favorites. There were serious things to talk about and tough decisions to make because as a reader I was already invested. But the narration on the France experience, especially the Monaco adventure got me soaked in. I was smiling all through and I completely forgot about the diagnosis and the journey ahead. The description of your travel experiences is excellent. You immersed me in the experiences. I was smiling and enjoying my mental pictures as if I was there. Thank you for sharing your experiences so vividly.

The book is also very informative. Incredibly informative. From the history of different places to nutrition. I took notes and found myself wanting to know more about superfoods. Francis shared simplified and valuable information on nutrition.

The Divine Helpers chapter, Project Victory decision and reuniting with the kids are some of the scenes that made me very emotional. Reading how your family and friends came together to make your kids as comfortable as possible was emotional in a powerful way. It was a beautiful testament to the role the divine helpers played in your journey.

I found myself thinking about my GT Team. I ended up deciding to talk to one of them about a tough career decision I have been trying to make alone. The book provides actionable tools that I’m keeping with me.

Some More Feedback Notes:

Introduction: The introduction does a great job distinguishing precious and priceless, but I found myself wanting to jump some parts of the analogies to get to the next chapter. And on a lighter note, I was also curious to know your wife’s hairstyle when you were traveling to India.

Overall, I have enjoyed reading the book. I have learned. I have been inspired, encouraged and challenged by the 7 gifts. The gifts stand out for me because they are relevant and applicable to my life. I would recommend the book to all my friends and family. Whether they are going through any unexpected situations or not.❞
